US Navy and Bahrain for first time held exercises in Persian Gulf

US naval forces and Bahrain first conduct joint teachings on the integration of unmanned ships in sea operations, reports Mignews with reference to AFP.

According to the data last month, the fifth fleet of the United States based in Bahrain announced that he launched a new operational group in the Persian Gulf for the rapid introduction of drones and artificial intelligence in the operation.

Announcement of the Central Command of the US Navy (Navcent) was made against the background of tensions between Iran and Israel. In August, Tehran rejected the charges of the West in that his drones were used in the tanker attack off the coast of the United Arab Emirates.

According to the US Navy Representative, Tim Hawkins, the current exercise with Bahrain called “New Horizon” are part of efforts to raise awareness, strengthening and establishing partnerships.
