US Secretary of State announced additional military assistance to Ukraine in amount of $ 2 billion

The United States allocate an additional 2 billion dollars of military financing for Ukraine. This was stated by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken at a joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleboy in Kyiv, Ukrinform reports.

“Of course, we have an additional package and help already on the way. In fact, some of this has already been delivered. But today I want in addition to this, to announce that we will provide an additional $ 2 billion of foreign military funding for Ukraine , and we united this in the first -a -kind fund of the defense enterprise, ”he said.

According to Blinken, this financing will consist of three components. “Firstly, this fund will help today so that Ukraine can receive weapons; secondly, it will focus on investments in the defense infrastructure of Ukraine; and, thirdly, to build the base of the defense industry, which will help to further strengthen the ability to produce What Ukraine is now needed, ”said Blinken.

According to him, Ukraine will be able to use the Fund in order to purchase military equipment from other countries, not only from the United States.
