US military instructors in order to strengthen the capabilities of Taiwan Defense, have been conducting secret activities on the island for more than a year, reports The Wall Street Journal.
It is noted that two dozen of American special forces are preparing small divisions of Taiwan’s land forces, while US military marines work with local naval forces, helping them in training.
According to China’s publication, also activated its aggressive military activities near the island. In the PRC, they tried to intimidate Taiwan, while the country is preparing for a possible war.
Beijing has increased its armed forces and threatened if necessary to take the island under its control. On the eve of the defense minister Taiwan, Tsyu Gocheng, said that Beijing will have all the possibilities for a full-scale invasion of Taiwan by 2025. The application was made against the background of the direction to the shores of Taiwan nearly 150 military aircraft of the China People’s Liberation Army.
