State Program of Service of Ukraine and the US Embassy signed a “plan of joint action to strengthen the Northern and Eastern sections of the Ukrainian border.” It is reported by Interfax with reference to representatives of the Office of Ukraine.
“The start of the project starts from January 2022, and the total amount of assistance is considered in the amount of $ 20 million,” said the head of the department for international issues in the field of combating drug trafficking and law enforcement issues of the American Embassy in Ukraine Sarah Langencomp.
According to information, the project takes into account the possibility of providing Ukraine of drone, special transport, equipment and other things necessary to protect their borders.
“We are talking about ensuring primarily the urgent and first priorities of linear units of the state border, about the protection of our personnel,” the first deputy head of the State Program, Vladimir Nikiforenko, explained.
