Armenia and Azerbaijan currently have the opportunity to move forward in the process of normalizing relations. This opinion was expressed on Wednesday by the assistant US Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia Karen Donfried, TASS reports.
“I believe that now there is a genuine hope for the presence of a favorable opportunity for Azerbaijan and Armenia to move forward in normalizing relations and finding a peaceful settlement,” said an employee of the American foreign policy, speaking at a briefing for foreign journalists.
“I believe that we saw both the countries took important steps. The USA is very encouraging,” said Donfried.
