The United States and its allies have not yet decided what exactly the restrictions on oil prices from Russia, said US Finance Minister Janet Yellen, speaking on the eve of the meetings of the heads of the Ministry of Finance and Central Banks of the Big Twenty (G20) in Indonesia.
“We have not yet decided what level of [restrictions] would be appropriate. There is no decision on this score. But in principle, we would like it to be such an indicator that will give Russia a certain incentive to continue production, which will make it profitable For Russia, ”Yellen quoted TASS.
According to her, the United States offers an exception that allows Russia to export oil until the price for it exceeds the level that will be determined. “Otherwise, Russia will be completely cut off from the provision of these extremely important services, which will probably lead to blockage of a significant amount of Russian oil,” she said.
