The US Presidential Administration Joe Biden presented to the Chinese government evidence that some Chinese state companies can provide Russian assistance in connection with the war in Ukraine.
Washington is trying to find out if Beijing knows about this activity, and requires explanation, writes Bloomberg with reference to sources familiar with the situation.
They refused to clarify what exactly the support is, but noted that it consists of “non -lethal military and economic assistance”.
At the same time, sanctions imposed by a number of countries do not interfere with such support.
The Biden administration found the found evidence that China is not a neutral side of the conflict.
The agency recalls: China fundamentally refuses to impose any sanctions except for the UN, and considers US calls to other states to limit the trade with Russia a violation of sovereignty.
