Volume of foreign trade of Uzbekistan over 5 months of year reached $ 25.8

The volume of foreign trade in Uzbekistan in January -May of current increased by 25.4 percent compared to the same period of 2022 – up to 25 billion 817 million dollars. Such data are given by the State Committee of Uzbekistan according to statistics.

The volume of Uzbek exports in the period under consideration increased by 24.1 percent compared to the first five months of 2022 – up to 10 billion 511 million 500 thousand dollars, and imports – by 26.4 percent, up to 15 billion 306 million 200 thousand 200 thousand . dollars.

The deficit of foreign trade in Uzbekistan, which had trade relations with 182 countries during the indicated period, amounted to 4 billion 794 million 700 thousand dollars.

The gold in the export of the country amounted to 41.6 percent, industrial products – 16.3 percent, the service sector – 16.9 percent, food and livestock products – 6.5 percent and chemical products of 4.4 percent. At the same time, the share of machinery and equipment in Uzbek imports accounted for 38.9 percent, industrial products – 15.9 percent, chemical products – 13.4 percent, food and livestock products – 10.1 percent.

Turkey is a 4th trading partner of Uzbekistan with a 5 percent share following the results of five months of the year.

China with a share of 17.6 percent ranks first among the countries with which Uzbekistan traded most of all in the first five months of this year.

The following is Russia – 14.9 percent, Kazakhstan – 7.5 percent, Turkey – 5 percent and South Korea – 4.1 percent.
