The volume of tea exports from Turkey in January -May of this year increased by 85 percent compared to the same period of 2023 -Up to 12 million 11 thousand 763 dollars. This was announced “Anadolo” by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Exporters of Eastern Chernomorye Suffet Kalengja.
According to him, in the first five months, Turkey exported tea in 110 countries and free zones.
In total, 2,468 tons of tea per 12 million 11 thousand 763 dollars were exported.
According to the chairman of the Association, Belgium, Great Britain and the USA were included in the top 3 importers of Turkish tea.
In the period under consideration, tea was sold to Belgium in the amount of 4 million 767 thousand 435 dollars, in the UK – 1 million 562 thousand 4 dollars and in the USA – 876 thousand 265 dollars, Kalendju noted.
