Israel has attacked at least ten Iranian ships over the past year and a half, mostly carrying oil to Syria, the Wall Street Journal reports, citing sources in the region and the US administration.
According to the newspaper, since the end of 2019, Israel has used weapons, including underwater mines, against Iranian ships in the Red Sea and other parts of the Middle East.
Israel, according to the WSJ, fears that Iran is using oil revenues to finance extremism in the Middle East.
