White House has created an operational group of experts to develop US response to the invasion of Russia to Ukraine. This was announced on the eve of the newspaper The Washington Post.
According to information, the group was created in November. According to the publication, the administration collected the “Team of Tigrov”, which is involved in the emergence of “exposing statements” about allegedly preparation of Russia for escalation. The initiator of the appearance of this group was the adviser to the President of the USA on the National Security of Jake Sullivan.
It is noted that Sullivan then appealed to the Director for Strategic Planning the National Security Council Alex Beak with a request to enjoy the formation of the Group. Beach attracted specialists from the Ministry of Defense, the State Department, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Internal Security, as well as representatives of the Intelligence and Agency for International Development.
In the course of the work, the Group created a leadership in which a number of rapid responses are described, which can be resorted to the United States since the first day of the intended Russian invasion, as well as within the first two weeks. In addition, it addresses issues of ensuring the security of the US Embassy in Kiev, ways to solve the problem of Ukrainian refugees, specific sanctions against Moscow, the fight against cyberatics, as well as possible steps that Russia may take in response to sanctions.
US President Joe Biden familiarized himself with the content of the manual developed by experts, the newspaper reports.
