President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday on his Twitter reported that he had a telephone conversation with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Layen.
According to Zelensky, in the conversation it was a speedy discharge of the next tranche of the EU macrophine.
According to media reports, it is expected that at the end of the next week, EU economy ministers in Prague agree on a political declaration in support of macrofinance assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 5 billion euros.
In addition, Zelensky noted the need to prepare the 8th package of sanctions, which should also contain a ban on the issuance of visas to Russian citizens. Also, according to the President of Ukraine, he coordinated with von der Lyayen steps to limit Russia to receive income from the sale of oil and gas. Separately, the parties discussed Ukraine’s entry into the EU.
