WHO against politicians’ participation in investigating origin of COVID

The World Health Organization criticized politicians interference in the investigation of the origin of the coronavirus SARS-COV-2.

“We ask to separate science from politics and leave us in an adequate, positive atmosphere to search for answers. Politics poisons investigation. To bring WHO to the situation in which she now turned out to be unfairly in relation to scientists. This puts the organization to position, in which is impossible to give answers that are interested in the world community, “said Michael Ryan Emergency Situations Director at a press conference in Geneva, he quotes Deutsche Vella.

It turns out to be increasingly strong pressure in order to force it to begin a new investigation of the origin of the coronavirus. The launch date of the second phase of the investigation, however, has not yet been assigned. First, the organization wants to wait for the recommendations of technical experts.

US President Joe Biden on May 26 instructed the American special services to strengthen the work on identifying a possible accident at the Institute of Virology in the Chinese city of Wuhan. During the recent WHO Conference, European Union countries demanded clarity, as well as some other members of the organization. They requested information on the future steps of WHO in the investigation of the origin of the coronavirus. In their opinion, it is crucial to prevent future pandemic.
