Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Europe Hans Blevia stated that the coronavirus pandemic will not end until countries learn to live with the virus.
According to him, WHO will not announce the completion of the pandemic, given the risk that the health systems of some countries may not cope with a sharp increase in the number of infected people.
“We must learn to live with a virus. As soon as hospitals are not overwhelmed by hospitalizations from COVID-19, then it may be a coronavirus to be endemic,” – told Kulia.
He also noted that the organization expects “half a million deaths from the virus until February 2022.”
