WHO reported an increase in incidence of Covid-19 in world

The incidence of Covid-19 coronavirus in the world increased by 3%per week, mortality decreased by 6%, the weekly epidemiological ballot of the World Health Organization (WHO) says.

In the period from December 12 to 18, the incidence of coronavirus decreased in all regions except the region of the Western part of the Pacific and the American region, there it grew by 8% and 18%, respectively. The largest drop in the number of diseases was recorded in Southeast Asia (by 36%) and Africa (by 29%).

In just a week, about 3.7 million new cases of infection with coronavirus were identified around the world.

The number of deaths from Covid-19 over the past week has grown only in the American region (by 3%) and in the region of the western part of the Pacific (by 7%). In other regions, a drop in mortality was recorded.

In total, about 10.4 thousand caused Covid-19 deaths around the world were identified over a week.

For the entire period of pandemia in the world, more than 655 million cases of coronavirus infection and about 6.6 million deaths from the consequences of the disease have been identified.
