British Foreign Minister David Cameron accepted the wife of the President of Ukraine Elena Zelenskaya during her visit to London.
“The start of a visit to the UK for two important meetings. There was an opportunity to thank for help and discuss further cooperation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Lord Cameron and Minister of Health and Social Protection Victoria Atkins,” she wrote on Facebook.
Zelenskaya noted that the UK is one of the most devoted allies of Ukraine both in military assistance and in the salvation of civilians.
In addition, the wife of the Ukrainian leader visited the main office of Amazon Web Services (AWS) EMEA in London, which, according to her, “saves the formation of Ukrainian children today, providing the need for gadgets for learning.”
“During the meeting, they received confirmation from partners about the transfer of 700 devices for Ukrainian students. This is a tangible support, because daily more than 300 thousand students miss classes because they do not have a technical opportunity for online education,” she 0t.
“My fund is not the first time cooperating with the Amazon group of companies. In particular, thanks to it, almost 5 thousand Ukrainian children from vulnerable categories from the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, Lugansk, Nikolaev, Odessa, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkov and Kherson regions will receive Access to online education. So, new gadgets will go to children from regions in which the greatest need for distance education, ”Zelenskaya said.
