Words of Ukrainian journalist caused discontent in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan does not produce weapons and military equipment together with Iran. This statement was made by the press service of the Uzbek state defense industry.

“The State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the defense industry refutes the information that Uzbekistan is a place for assembling Iranian military UAVs (drones), which are used in an armed conflict in Ukraine,” Fergananews quotes the press service of the State Buron of Uzbekistan.

Information on the allegedly joint production of Uzbekistan and Iran of combat drones sounded in an interview with Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon with businessman Leonid Nevzlin. According to Gordon, Iranian drones are also produced in Uzbekistan, his interlocutor agreed with this.

The question of whether Israel can strike at the places of assembly of drones in Iran, Iraq and Uzbekistan, Nevzlin replied that Uzbekistan is a neutral, friendly country, and it will be enough an ultimatum delivered by Israel and America.

The words of Gordon and Nevzlin were paid attention to the deputy speaker of the Legislative Chamber Oliy Mazhlis (parliament) of Uzbekistan Alisher Kadyrov, who called on the Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan “officially refuted this slander and force Gordon to apologize.”
