Zakharova about cooperation between Russia and Iran

External pressure and sanctions do not interfere with the cooperation of Moscow and Tehran.

This is stated in the commentary of the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova.

Commenting on the statement of French President Emmanuel Macron that the support that Tehran provides to Moscow can lead to sanctions against Iran and an increase in isolation, the diplomat indicated that Russia and Iran “build mutually beneficial cooperation without regard to the opinion of the Westerners.”

“External pressure and sanctions is not a hindrance. Rather, on the contrary, illegal restrictions even contribute to strengthening the positive trends that have been emerged in previous years in terms of increasing Russian -Iranian turnover,” Zakharova noted.
