The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, called the Ecuador’s decision to transmit old Russian technology to the US. The Russian diplomat said about this by Izvestia.
“Our partners are well aware of the provisions of contracts, including the obligation to use the imposed property for the declared purposes and not transfer to the third party without receiving the relevant agreement of the Russian side,” Zakharova said.
According to the Russian diplomat, “such a reckless decision was made by the Ecuador side under the serious pressure of interested parties from the outside.”
If Russian technology really was a “scrap metal”, as it was called in Kito, then Washington would not offer modern equipment in return for a fairly serious amount, ”she said.
Earlier it became known that the authorities of Ecuador decided to transfer Russian military equipment of the United States contrary to the protest of Russia. President of Ecuador Daniel Noboa said that the delivery will be carried out, as it was proved that “this is scrap metal.”
