Zelensky deprived citizenship of three oligarchs

Three influential and famous oligarchs in Ukraine lost citizenship, since their long -standing conflict with the Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky reached a boiling point against the background of the war with Russia, reports The Times of Israel.

According to the publication, last week Zelensky, reported, was either canceled, or took steps to cancel Ukrainian citizenship of the two most famous oligarchs of the country, Igor Kolomoisky and Gennady Korban, as well as Vadim Rabinovich, a former tycoon, who became a deputy from the pro -Russian party . The official reason, apparently, is that they have foreign citizenship, in particular Israeli. Double citizenship is technically illegal in Ukraine, notes the publication.

Also, according to the publication, there are several alternative theories, including that Zelensky cleans the oligarchs with the “motley past”, trying to prove the United States and other Western countries that Ukraine is intolerant of corruption.
