Zelensky: Ukraine against further restrictions against export of Ukrainian grain

Ukraine against any further restrictions against the export of Ukrainian grain, President Vladimir Zelensky said.

“If it will be necessary to fight for Ukraine and the foundations of our common Europe in arbitrations, we will also fight in arbitrations, although we do not want this,” the head of state said in appeal to the participants of the trimory initiative.

According to the Ukrainian leader, a policy in Europe contradicts the essence and ignores general obligations and common values. “When this also happens in the midst of a cruel aggression against all European, everyone loses from this,” he stressed.

Zelensky noticed that the five countries of the European Union limit the export of Ukrainian grain.

“Ukraine categorically against any further restrictions on the export of our grain … Any restrictions against Ukrainian exports are now the scaling of the destruction that Russian terrorists cause,” the Ukrainian leader said.

Turning to the European Commission, Zelensky said that Ukraine never interferes with free competition.

“But as we will not calmly perceive the violation of the promises, violation of the Association Agreement, violation of the conditions of the free market … European institutions should not multiply disappointments in Europe. And should strengthen the trust and promises that sound in Europe,” – emphasized the head of state.

According to Zelensky, Ukraine is fighting for European values on the battlefield.

“But if it will be necessary to fight for Ukraine and the foundations of our common Europe in arbitrations, we will fight in arbitrations, although we do not want this. If you need to fight at the venues of international organizations, we will fight there,” the president said .

In June, the EU extended the restriction introduced by Poland, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Bulgaria to import grain from Ukraine until September 15.
