The leader of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky wants to directly talk to the President of China in order to stop Russia’s invasion.
“I would like to talk directly (with the leader of the PRC – Ed.). I had one conversation with Xi Jinping a year ago,” he said. “Since the beginning of a large -scale aggression on February 24, we officially asked for a conversation, but we had no conversation with China, although I think that it would be useful,” Zelensky said in an interview with South China Morning Post.
The President of Ukraine urged China to use its political and economic influence on Russia to stop hostilities.
“I am sure that without the Chinese market, Russia would feel in complete economic isolation. This is what China can do – limit trade with Russia until the end of the war,” Zelensky added.
