11 villas of Russian oligarch arrested in Italy

Italian authorities arrested 11 villas of Russian billionaire Vyacheslav Kantor, including those that he bought from the family of former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, reports L’Anione Sarda.

Earlier in April, the Council of Europe instructed to confiscate the assets of Cantor when personal sanctions were imposed against him, but due to a difficult scheme of ownership, the process was completed only in August.

As the publication clarifies, the villas are in Porto Rotondo on the northeast coast of Sardinia. One of them borders on the summer residence of the Berlusconi “Chemnosa”. In addition, some of the arrested villas were once bought from a family of Italian politician. In particular, the Villa of the “Primaver” previously belonged to the mother of Berlusconi, and “Dolce Drago” – his younger brother Paolo.
