18th International Half Marathon N Kolay was held in Istanbul

In Istanbul, the 18th International Half Marathon N Kolay was held, designated among the best in the world.

In the event organized by the efforts of the municipality of the Turkish metropolis, over 12 thousand runners from 69 countries took part, as well as 56 professional athletes (34 men and 22 women).

Runes were carried out in three categories – at a distance of 21 km, 10 km and 21 km on skates.

The route of the half marathon ran from the Yenikapi area across the Galatsky bridge and in the opposite direction.

There were 533 volunteers in the half marathon. The start of the half marathon at 09.30 local time was given the Secretary General of the municipality of Istanbul Jan Akyn Chaglar, acting Heads of the Turkish athletics Federation Mustafa Yasin Tash, head of the sports department of Istanbul Renai Onur and others.

In the half marathon, among men with the results of 59.52, Kenyz Daniel Ebeno took the first place. The second place was taken by the Marrokan to Hitchyam Amghar. Ethiop Haft Tekla took third place with the result of 1.00.01.

Among women, Kenyka Puriti, the first place, took the first place in women (1.06.28). The second place went to Kenyka Rus Chepngetich (1.07.18), the third Evelein Chirchir (1.07.30), which is also a citizen of Kenya. In the race on skates, the first place was taken by the German Sebastian Mirschch.

Thanks to good weather conditions, the half marathon aroused great interest. A fair and other entertainment events were held in the Yenikapi area.
