US President Joe Biden extended the sanctions regime against Iran, introduced in 1995 during the Bill Clinton administration, for another year. This is stated in a press release from the White House.
Biden has sent a notice to Congress that he is extending the 1995 “state of emergency” against Iran for another year.
This notice will be posted on the Federal Register, a collection of official documents of the US government.
