The volume of production of raw milk in Turkey in 2023 decreased by 0.4 percent to 21,481,567 tons. This is reported by the Statistical Institute of Turkey (Tüi̇k).
Compared to the previous year, the production of goat milk last year increased by 0.5 percent, cow’s milk – by 0.2 percent, and the production of sheep’s milk decreased by 12.5 percent, the production of buffalon milk was 1.3 percent of 1.3 percent .
Last year, 92.9 percent of the production of raw milk was cow’s milk, 4.3 percent – sheep, 2.5 percent – goat milk and 0.2 percent – buffalon milk.
