Mugle is preferred by tourists from the UK

The head of the region expressed satisfaction with the growth of the number of foreign tourists visiting Muglu.

According to Akbyk, last year, the tourist region, together with local tourists, was visited by about 10 million people. At the same time, the largest number of tourists in 2023 arrived from the UK, he said.

Further, tourists from Russia, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands and other countries follow, ”the governor said.

The authorities of the region implemented many projects to turn Muglu into one of the leading tourist centers in the world. Mugla also ranks first in Turkey in various types of alternative tourism, added Akbyk.

Last year, a paraglider from the Babadag Mountain, located at an altitude of 1,965 meters above sea level in the spa area of ​​Fethiya, was carried out 233,314 flights, which exceeds the indicators of previous years, he noted.
