In January 2022, the State Border Guard Service of Azerbaijan (GPS) in January 2022 recorded 29 cases of violation of the State Government, in connection with which 32 people were detained. 25 of them are citizens of Azerbaijan, seven – Turkey, told Haqqin.az in the press center of the GPS.
It was found that fake documents were mainly a certificate of identity member countries of the European Union, as well as permanent residence cards.
For the reporting period, the law enforcement agencies of Azerbaijan detained 218 previously declared citizens and transferred them to the relevant authorities. Along with this, attempts to leave the country of 265 persons who are forbidden to leave Azerbaijan, and the entry of 11 persons who are denied entry into the country are prevented. In January, 3 people were detained with a gross violation of the regime rules in the checkpoints through the State Granitsa.
