In the Mexican state of Sonora, as a result of a fire in a supermarket and subsequent explosion, according to preliminary data, 23 people were killed and 11 were injured.
Sonora Governor Alfonso Durazo, in a publication on the social network of the American company X, reported that a supermarket caught fire in the city of Hermosillo, after which an explosion occurred. According to him, firefighters managed to localize the fire.
Chief Prosecutor of Sonora Gustavo Salas Chavez said that all 23 people died from toxic gas poisoning. No signs of intentional arson were found.
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum expressed condolences to the families of the victims in a post on the social network of the American company X.
