27th meeting of Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of SEC countries took place in Shusha

Baku (AA) – on October 10, as part of the Chairmen of the Azerbaijan Republic, the 27th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs was held in the organization of economic cooperation (SEC) in the city of Shusha.

Foreign Minister Jahun Bayramov read out the message of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the event.

The message was reflected in the prospects for cooperation that appeared in the region in the post -conflict period. It notes that on the initiative of our country, the theme of the OES this year is defined as “green transition and mutual relations”, and it is also indicated that Azerbaijan takes consistent steps in this direction at both the national and international levels. This context emphasizes that the creation of a “green energy” zone in territories liberated from occupation is the embodiment of the work done in these directions.

Minister Bayramov, speaking with an introductory speech as the chairman of the SEC, expressed gratitude for the support and active participation in the initiatives nominated by our country during the chairmanship of Azerbaijan as part of the theme of the Green Transition and Mutual Relations. At the same time, he expressed the conviction that such priority directions as strengthening regional connections, economic transformation and “green energy” that are reflected in the document “Vision of the OES – 2025” will continue to develop.

Then the minister dwell on initiatives at the national level implemented during the period of the chairmanship of our country in the OEC to strengthen cooperation between the organization with other regional and international sites. Azerbaijan Foreign Minister said that Azerbaijan is interested in developing cooperation in various fields, and the placement of two specialized institutions of the organization – the Energy Center of the OES and the OEC Research Center – is evidence of the contribution to cooperation in the relevant areas.
