The 44th meeting of the Council of the Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure (RATS) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was held at the Cholpon-Ata state residence of Cholpon-Ata. The meeting took place under the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan.
As the State Medical University reported, deputy heads of the competent authorities of Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the director of the Executive Committee of the SCO SCO. Kyrgyzstan Colonel General Kamchybek Tashiev said that the meeting was an important step in strengthening the cooperation of the SCO member states in the field of security and confirmed collective determination in counteracting terrorism, extremism and separatism.
Tashiev emphasized that the meeting opened the cycle of official events as part Kyrgyzstan in the SCO in the SCO in 2025-2026.
Priorities and new initiatives
Kyrgyzstan noted the significant role of Rats SCO and outlined priority areas of interaction: strengthening the exchange of information, counteracting the use of modern technologies, including AI and cyberspace.
Separately separate Attention was paid to the plans for creating new structures within the framework of the SCO.
in particular, it was a question of countering transnational organized crime, which is planned to be placed in Bishkek.
The Kyrgyz side expressed their readiness to quickly organize its work and contribute to modernization of regional security mechanisms.
