In Nigeria, 62 terrorists were detained during operations carried out by the army.
The Director of Media Operations of the Nigerian Ministry of Defense, Marcus Kange, in a statement said that over the past two weeks the army has carried out operations across the country against the terrorist organizations Boko Haram, the West African branch of Daesh ISWAP and Lakurawa.
According to him, dozens of terrorists were killed during the operations and 62 terrorists were detained.
Kangye said that during the operations, 30 civilians taken hostage by Boko Haram were rescued and a large number of weapons and ammunition belonging to terrorists.
Nigeria has long faced attacks by armed gangs, as well as terrorist organizations Lakurawa, Boko Haram and ISWAP in various parts of the country.
