9th International Taste Festival Of Adana Continues In Southern Turkey

The 9th International Taste Festival continues in the Turkish province of Adana. The event, which takes place under the motto “From generation to generation,” was organized by the administration of the Governor of Adana.

Numerous events are held at the gastronomic site throughout the day, attracting culinary lovers and guests of the city.

Visitors to the festival have the opportunity to get acquainted with Adana’s signature dishes, such as kebab, liver treats (ciğer), shyrdan and shalgam (şalgam – fermented radish juice).

B As part of the program, chef Bedri Aydogdu made a presentation “The Success Story of Adana Kebab,” where he shared his professional experience and spoke about the cultural significance of this dish for the region.

Master classes were also held on the preparation of traditional dishes, which over time began to disappear from the diet of the region. Participants in the master classes were then offered a tasting of the prepared treats.

– Young Chef Competition

One of the key events of the festival was the Young Chef Competition, in which students and young representatives of the culinary industry took part. The competition was held in individual and team categories.

Jury assessed the originality, technique and taste of the presented dishes, the winners will be announced and awarded at the ceremony.

Tomorrow the festival program will include competitions among young lyceum chefs, which will also be held in two categories: individual and team.
