A criminal case against President Sargsyan opened in Armenia

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia opened a case due to the concealment of the fact of the dual citizenship of the President of Armen Sargsyan. This was announced on his page on Facebook Chapter Chamber of Lawyers Armenia Ara Zograbyan.

Sputnik Armenia writes that in March 53 lawyer submitted a report on the crime in connection with the concealment of the fact of the presence of the President of Armenia Armen Sargsyan dual citizenship. The special investigative service refused to initiate a criminal case, lawyers appealed this decision.

“The General Prosecutor’s Office on the basis of the complaint canceled the decision of the SCC and opened the case on the signs of part 1 of Article 325 of the Criminal Code (forgery of documents, their implementation or use),” wrote Zohrabians. According to him, in solving the prosecutor’s office, it is noted that the assumptions of the plaintiffs that the British citizenship of Armen Sargsyan was discontinued not in 2011, and later, legitimate.
