US Special Salar for Haiti Daniel Foot resigned due to politics held by Washington against refugees from the Republic of Haiti, reports TASS. The appropriate letter diplomat sent to the American Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
“I leave my post of the Special Salancer in Haiti, the decision comes into force immediately. I will not associate with the inhuman, counterproductive US decision to deport thousands of Haitian refugees and illegal migrants in Haiti,” wrote foot.
Foot also noted that his recommendations regarding the situation with refugees were ignored and rejected. According to him, the position of Washington against Haiti remains deeply mistaken.
