A new UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan has been appointed

UN Secretaryckers Antoniou Guterrish appointed Andreyev’s priced of Andreev from Northern Macedonia with a new resident coordinator in Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani government approved this appointment, reports Trend.

According to the UN information, Andreeva worked in various posts in the UN and has 21 years of experience in the fields of international development, coordination of humanitarian activities, advocacy and partnership establishment.

Until the last destination, she headed the United Nations Program on HIV / AIDS (UNAIDS) in Cambodia, as well as a group of readiness for a Pandemic COVID-19 and responding to it.

In addition, Andreeva worked as an advisor to the strategic intervention of the UNAIDS Regional Office for the Asia-Pacific Region in order to improve the efficiency of program implementation, the head of the monitoring and evaluation team in the UNAIDS office in Vietnam, an adviser to the UN Development Program (UNDP) for Europe and the CIS, as well as a resident – the Organization Coordinator in Northern Macedonia.

Previously, she also ranked posts in the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Office on the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, worked in a non-commercial organization Pharmaciens Sans Frontières, coordinated the provision of humanitarian assistance to refugees.
