In Sumgait, a resident of Baku struck knives by police officers.
According to the Sumgath City Prosecutor’s Office, on the eve of around 20:00, at about 20:00, the Prosecutor’s Office received information on the application of bodily harm to the staff of the Sumgait City Police Department near AZPETROL gas station.
In the course of the investigation, it was found that a resident of Baku Aga Azimov inflicted knives of varying degrees of severity of the Opera Compact Division of the Criminal Investment of the Sumgait GPS Hagani Mamedov and the younger Inspector Orhan Bakhshaliyev, who had fulfilled his official duties and ran away from the scene.
As a result of operational search activities conducted by police officers, Azimov was detained. The prosecutor’s office of Sumgait was initiated by a criminal case under Article 315 (resistance or application of violence against the authority) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. Currently, the investigation on the case continues.
