Abdin Farzaliev agreed with Babushkin: A business center opens in Azerbaijan

In Azerbaijan in December this year, an Astrakhan Business Center is planned to open. This became known during the working meeting of the Governor of the Astrakhan Region Igor Babushkin with the head of the executive authority of the Narimanovsky district Baku Abdin Farzaliev, reports Haqqin.az with reference to the Russian media.

The Russian governor, in particular, noted that Azerbaijan is one of the leading partners of the Astrakhan region: “In cooperation with the Government of Azerbaijan, the executive authority of the Narimanovsky district Baku and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, we have implemented a lot of large-scale projects.”

It is noted that, despite the pandemic, the foreign trade turnover of the Astrakhan region with Azerbaijan at the end of the eight months of this year amounted to more than $ 8.5 million, it corresponds to last year’s indicators.

At the same time, Igor Babushkin believes that “the potential of our trade cooperation is much more and the volume of trade can be increased,” and connects the prospects to expand trade relations with the work of two business centers – the Azerbaijan Business Center in Astrakhan and Astrakhan in Baku.

The idea of implementing a project for the construction of an Astrakhan business center in Baku arose during the construction of the Azerbaijan Business Center in Astrakhan. In December 2017, a traditional first stone was laid at the site of the future construction of the Astrakhan center in Baku, and in January 2018, experts began to build a building. The opening of the institution was scheduled for June 2021, but because of the pandemic, the ceremony was postponed for December, when the Astrakhan delegation led by the governor will arrive in Baku on a visit.

“I want to note that this iconic event will be held thanks to the support of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the work that you did,” said the Russian governor, turning to Abdina Farzaliev. – The Astrakhan Business Center in Baku will be the main platform of the region for business negotiations with Azerbaijani partners. and promoting the products of Astrakhan manufacturers to the Azerbaijani market. “

In turn, Abdin Farzaliyev thanked Igor Babushkin for many years of cooperation, noting that the business center built in Baku is still the only similar representation of the Russian Federation in the territory of Azerbaijan.
