Abdullahiyan: Türkiye and Iran opened new chapter in relations

Foreign Minister Iran Hussein Amir Abdullahiyan said that the visit of President Ebrahim Raisi to Ankara and his results marked the “beginning of a new chapter” in the field of bilateral and regional cooperation between Turkey and Iran.

In a message published on the social media platform X, Abdullahiyan commented on the visit of President Iran Raisi to Ankara at the official invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Iranian Minister noted that as a result of negotiations between the leaders of the two countries, many agreements have been signed, in particular in the field of trade, investment, economics, culture, tourism, border security and the fight against terrorism.

“The official visit of our president to Turkey and its results are the beginning of the new head of bilateral and regional cooperation between the two countries,” the minister expressed.

On January 24, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi visited Turkey on an official visit and met with President Erdogan in the presidential complex in Ankara.

After the completion of the 8th meeting of the Turkish-Iranian Council of high-level cooperation, held with the participation of the presidents and delegations of both countries, 10 agreements in various fields were signed in the presence of leaders.
