Afghan authorities banned the use of foreign currency for settlements within the country, transfers Interfax with reference to the Afghan media.
It is reported that the leadership of the Taliban movement instructed all citizens, shop owners, merchants and businessmen about the use of Afghan, and encourages to categorically refrain from the use of foreign currency, otherwise the violators will be punished.
We note, until now, in Afghanistan, US dollars, and by the regions bordering Pakistan, and Pakistani Rupees are widely used.
