The African Union (AS) announced that “decisively condemns a military coup” in Gabon.
In a written statement by the chairman of the commission of the AC Musa Faki Muhammad, it is emphasized that the military coup in Gabon contradicts the principles of AS
“The Chairman of the AC Commission with great concern is monitored by the situation in Gabon and decisively condemns a military coup as a decision of the post -piercing crisis in the country,” the statement said.
Military revolution is a clear violation of legal and political documents of the AC, the statement says that calls for the Gabon army and security forces to adhere to their duties and ensure the security of the president, his family and government members.
The statement also calls for all groups of the country’s population peacefully returning to a democratic order.
