After Kiriyenko’s trip to Mariupol in Ukraine, a criminal case was opened

Security Service of Ukraine (Armed Forces) said that an investigation has begun in relation to the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Sergey Kiriyenko in connection with his trip to Mariupol.

“SBU investigators opened and investigating criminal proceedings against the first deputy head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko,” the Ukrainian intelligence service, published on the Press Service of its Donetsk and Lugansk regions on Facebook.

As explained in the SBU, the reason for the investigation was that Kiriyenko visited Mariupol in early May, which was regarded as an illegal crossing of the Ukrainian border, and his statements were called Russian propaganda.

“, on the fact of the actions of the Russian official, the SBU registered criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 332-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal crossing of the state border). The pre -trial investigation is ongoing,” the SBU said. In the near future, the department promises Kiriyenko to charge. The SBU promised to transfer materials to international courts on the actions of officials of Russia.
