Muhammad Rakhmun, forced to leave the village of Kafr Sidzhna in the southern rural area of ​​Idlib in 2019, told Anadol about how happy he was to return to the liberated homeland after six years of life in the camp.

He He said that he had completed preparations for a return from the camp, where he lived with his family after fleeing the troops of the overthrown regime. “We lived in the camps for six years, but now, the glory of Allah, the victory has come. We are collecting things. Our country is now free,” he said.

According to Rakhmun, his village was seriously injured during the war: “Kafr Sidgena is completely destroyed. I will take my tent and install it right on the ruins of our house. The only thing that has changed is now we are on our land.”

He also emphasized that the destruction concerns not only houses: “There is nothing in the village – neither sewage, no electricity, nor water, there are not even basic conditions for life. We turn to all charity organizations: help us, if you can, in restoration.”

Abdurzozak Muhammad, who also left Kafr Sidge in 2019, said that after many years of difficult conditions, he was finally preparing to return home.

“We left in 2019. lived in tents, where there was neither protection from the heat in the summer, nor from the cold in winter. But we suffered, glory to Allah, now our lands are free, and we are preparing to return,” he said.

He said that part of the houses was destroyed as a result of bombing, the other is deliberately to steal metal structures. “Everything is destroyed. But the joy of returning to their home cannot be conveyed with the words“, ”he added.

“Today we rejoice not only we – all Syria. This cruel regime destroyed the country, people, nature, stone and earth. But we will restore everything,” he said.
