Against background of raging Covid, China canceled quarantine for visitors from abroad

Entrance and departure from China are greatly simplified: from Sunday, January 8, the PRC cancels mandatory quarantine for visitors from abroad, operating over the past three years. Now, arriving from abroad, it is enough to present a negative result of the Coronavirus test with a statute of limitations of not more than 48 hours, DEUTSCHE WELLE reports.

Passengers surveyed at Chinese airports expressed satisfaction with the decision of the Chinese authorities, despite the fact that quarantine in the PRC is canceled against the background of a giant coronavirus that is whispering in the country.

At the airport of Beijing on January 8, there were no longer barriers that still shared visitors from abroad and from other regions of the PRC. Airport employees in protective costumes also disappeared.

In China, a large -scale wave of coronavirus is currently rampant. According to unofficial data, about a million people are infected in the country daily, the crematoriums do not have time to burn the corpses of the dead. The sharp increase in the number of infections has not stopped since the PRC authorities abandoned the policy of zero tolerance to coronavirus in early December, canceling almost all anticoronavirus restrictions.

All over the world, concern about new coronavirus options that can penetrate from China to other countries is growing. Many countries have introduced mandatory covid testing for arriving from China.
