“Ankara stands for peace and stability in the Black Sea region.” Such an opinion was expressed by the Minister of National Defense of Turkey Hulusi Akar, reports “Anadolu”.
According to him, Turkey carefully tracks what is happening in Ukraine and, with each opportunity, emphasizes the importance of achieving an agreement on the immediate cease-fire, which will allow to stop bloodshed and restore stability in this country.
Hulusi Akar attracted attention to the deepening humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, including in the city of Mariupol.
“The Turkish side actively contacts Kiev, and with Moscow to ensure the safe evacuation of Turkish citizens and the entire civilian population from this area of Ukraine. Turkey continues to take everything on it for peace and stability in the Black Sea region, including using opportunities Convention Montreux about the status of straits.
