Aliyev and Erdogan will open airport in Fizuli

In the first anniversary of the liberation from the Armenian occupation of the city of Shusha, November 8, the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey – Ilham Aliyev and Regep Tayyip Erdogan – will take part in the opening ceremony of the new Fizulinsky airport, reports Turkish TV channel Haberturk.

First flights at Fizuli airport began on September 5, 2021.

In Fizulinsky International Airport, a runway 3,000 meters long and 60 meters wide was commissioned. It is fully equipped with landing and navigation systems for devices, lighting, primary and secondary radar systems to ensure safety of flights in accordance with all ICAO requirements. This will allow the airport to take any type of aircraft.
