This was stated by President Ilham Aliyev at the ceremony of laying the foundation of the largest thermal power station of the Independence period, the official website of the head of state reports.
Aliyev emphasized that the new power station will become the next contribution to the energy security of Azerbaijan.
In addition, the president noted that hundreds of new jobs will be created here.
“Thus, Azerbaijan, using its capabilities in full, will not only satisfy internal demand, but also take even greater steps in the field of electric power and natural gas, because at the new station the consumption of conditional fuel is quite low, and this will allow us Save about 800 million cubic meters, or 1 billion cubic meters of gas per year, ”said the head of state.
According to Aliyev, since today there is a great demand for Azerbaijani gas in the European space, this will at the same time be the next contribution to the energy security of Europe.
