Aliyev with Putin discuss a peace treaty with Armenia

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev during a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday, April 9, said that Baku and Yerevan adopted a document consisting of five principles for building interstate relations.

It is noted that during the conversation, the head of state discussed with the Russian leader questions to the normalization of relations with Armenia and held on April 6 a three-sided meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the President of the European Council by Charl Mishele in Brussels.

The leaders of the two countries also discussed the creation of a working group on the preparation of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the creation of a border delimitation commission, as well as the activities of the Working Group with the participation of Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia on Communication and further contacts in this context.

The sides again expressed mutual intention to continue close cooperation on the current agenda of bilateral relations.
