January 12 Delegation led by the Chairman of the Muslim Department of the Caucasus (UMC) Shakhulislav Allahshukure Pashazade will go on a visit to the Vatican, the press service of the UMK.
The delegation included representatives of religious denominations operating in Azerbaijan – Head of the Community of the Milk Jews of Azerbaijan Melich Evdaev, Secretary of the Baku and Azerbaijani Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Archimandrite Alexy Nikonorov and the Apostle Prefect of the Roman Catholic Church in Azerbaijan Bishop Vladimir Fkete.
The visit of the heads of religious denominations of Azerbaijan will be held at the official invitation of the head of the Roman Catholic Church of Francis and will last until January 17.
During the visit of the Azerbaijani delegation, meetings with the leader of the world Catholics are scheduled – Pope Francis, as well as with a number of senior officials of the Holy See.
