Almost 70 countries supported anti -Russian resolution of UN General Assembly

Anti -Russian resolution on the achievement of peace in Ukraine, the project of which was previously submitted to the Secretariat of the UN General Assembly, supported 68 countries.

This was announced at a briefing by a regular representative of the United States at the UN Linda Thomas-Grinfield.

According to her, the draft resolution calls for the achievement of a “comprehensive, fair and sustainable world in Ukraine.”

“To date, 68 countries have already supported this important document, and we resolutely urge all the UN member countries to vote for this resolution, to vote for the world,” the US Permanent Representative said.

Earlier, the official representative of the Chairman of the General Assembly Polina Kubyak said that the resolution sent against Russia on the achievement of peace in Ukraine on the basis of the plan of the Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky was sent to the UN General Assembly Secretariat. The resolution, among other things, has a call to Russia to withdraw its forces from Ukraine. Discussion and voting on the document is planned to be held on February 22-23.
